Pastor Bonnie Schleter-Brown

God’s love in action is the vision statement for the Nith Valley Ministry Area and it helps to define my own faith journey. In all I do, my actions are an extension of God. With this as my mission, it is important for me to live every day as a beacon of love and grace and that I take actions every day to be God’s love.
I am Pastor Bonnie Schelter-Brown and I am so pleased to be called into the new model of ministry called Shared Ministry of the Nith Valley Ministry Area. This is a way forward in stressful times for the church. We are an important voice, an extension of God’s love here in the world, full of grace, peace, and wholeness.
My favorite bible passage is John 10:10b – Jesus says – I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. We are called not to simply live, but to live fully trusting in God’s love. At my baptism I was adopted into God’s love and the Christian / Lutheran family. With this promise I was called into caring for others, loving the marginalized, and seeing Christ in everyone I meet. I am called to action to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and care for the hurting. It is with joy that I try my best every day to follow Micah 6:8 and do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with my God.
May God’s peace, love, and grace call you into action. Only through offering love can we heal the world.
